William Maselli has been representing individuals in times of trouble at the highest level since 1988, and in fact conducted three jury trials and an appellate argument at the Maine Supreme Court even earlier while still a law student. William Maselli has won over a dozen jury trial acquittals and hung juries of major felony cases in the United States Federal Court, approximately one hundred jury trial acquittals, hung juries, and dismissals during or on the eve of trial in criminal cases in the Maine Superior Courts, and has overturned two murder convictions and significant drug trafficking and sexual assault convictions on Appeal both at the Maine Supreme Court and The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

William Maselli has handled some of the most high profile cases in the State of Maine over the last thirty years and has handled literally thousands of cases in the criminal courts. He has also represented clients in the State and Federal Courts in Massachusetts and the State and Federal Courts in New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

William Maselli began his career as an attorney in a small solo office in the tiny mountain town of Andover Maine, later establishing the largest and best criminal defense office in Auburn directly across the street from the Auburn Superior Court, and now enjoying the historic location on the Portland Waterfront at 39 Portland Pier. John J. Bauer formed American Intelligence Service Company, Inc. in Boston 1988 – A full service investigative agency serving Greater Boston / Eastern Massachusetts corporate and legal communities. AISC handled a very diverse case portfolio through 1998.

In 1995 he formed Colonial Investigations, Inc. in Auburn, Maine – An agency primarily focused on criminal defense investigations working with Maine’s most prominent criminal defense attorneys. Since formation Mr. Bauer has investigated and consulted on thousands of criminal cases including 20 murders.

Mr. Bauer has been a member of Intellenet, a private sector intelligence organization, since 1991. Intellenet is a worldwide network of professional investigators capable of handling virtually any type of investigation anywhere in the world. He recieved a BA in Psychology in 1984 from University of Southern Maine.

Bauer has been working with William Maselli for over twenty years and together they have been involved in some of the most high profile criminal trials in the history of the State of Maine.
